Coldplay at Glasto

I’ll start by saying I LOVE Coldplay! Watching Glasto live from the comfort of my bed…..is anyone else wondering what’s going on with Chris Martin’s voice? Or is it my imagination

Husband just informed me Coldplay are doing 4 nights in Croke Park this year. Whatever anyone's personal opinion on their music, there's clearly a huge appetite out the for them.

I think it was the sound system initially, it sounded a bit off.

It was little simz in the last one. I don't know this song, but they're good so far. Just give me higher power and I can wake the cat up by dancing.

Massive Coldplay fan from 1998 until about 2005 when they just got boring and repetitive. He seems to have somehow caught an American accent along the way.

I love them. Seen them at two stadium tours and they put on a great show.

Absolutely. On both counts.

I don't even like him that much. I thought he looked really old, but to be fair his showmanship was 2nd to none and he got the crowd going and it was absolutely incredible. The whole thing was amazing.

For anyone who's seen them live other than at Glasto, are they as good in smaller venues/inside, etc?

It just seems like the show so reliant on the atmosphere - not a criticism, just can't imagine how it would be elsewhere?

I saw them at an arena tour and they were great. Very atmospheric.

Has there been a better headline act for Glasto?

I'm sure there are loads who some - many even - would prefer, but as an act to appeal to the widest possible number of people, I struggle to think of anyone else really.

I think his voice is okay, and pretty much the same as ever, but his accent is all over the shop - it’s giving me Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins vibes 😂😂 I know he’s lived in the USA for years now, and probably splits his time between the U.K. and the US, so that’s probably why it’s a bit in between, but it’s weird to listen to. I find it grating when he pronounces ‘Earth’ as ‘Urrth’ 😂

Anyone notice the BBC coverage ended with a closing credit (or whatever it's called) with MMXIV as the date? 😁

I saw Muse at Glasto one year, they were insanely epic

Can't believe people think they are one of the best headliners. Nah.

God I love Muse. I haven’t kept up with their stuff for a few years now, but I saw them live twice and they were phenomenal. Both they and Coldplay do excellent live shows.
