Do you think all ladies’ trousers, shorts etc have pockets

All men’s do.

Suffering from hay fever and gone out for the night. Realised that after blowing my nose that my trousers don’t have a pocket to put hankie in.

I’m not a man. I don’t want pockets.

It is a feminist issue. Men's clothing comes with a practical feature that most women's clothing of the same type does not have. Either there are no pockets, or the pocket provision is unequal (fewer and smaller). This is discriminatory towards women.

So if you are doing things like nipping to the loo, putting the bins out, hanging out the washing, nipping to the corner shop, you always take a bag?

Back in my schooldays, there would regularly be a little queue of girls who'd lost their lunch card. I had to explain to the teacher dealing with this what the simple explanation for this mystery was - the boys had trouser pockets and blazers, our tunic had one small, zipless pocket which things fell out of.

I hate oickets. They make me look like my hips are massive

It's been a complaint forever that so many women's clothes don't have pockets, and many that do are so small as to be impractical. Is this something you've never noticed before?

I agree. Why would men need pockets but not women? We need a different fit of clothes for men and women as we have different body shapes. I can wear men's but many women can't. Different body shapes have nothing to do with the need to carry stuff, therefore it's simple discrimination.

I can’t remember when I last nipped to a corner shop. If I did, I would probably take my phone or purse and a bag. To put my shopping in.

The only pockets I use are coat pockets. I have loads of pairs of jeans with pockets but I never use them. If you want clothes with pockets there are plenty available.

You can do all of them stark naked, though the neighbours might stare.

If I go to the loo outside of the house, I usually have pockets full of tissue, lip balm, keys, phone, etc. Tissues can be jolly useful if you realise too late there's no bog roll left in the cubicle.

You'd have to be a bit thick to think that ALL ladies trousers, shorts etc have pockets, especially if you were wearing a pair that didn't.

It’s women’s’ fault that their clothes don’t have pockets. Vote with your wallet and don’t buy clothes without pockets. The manufacturers will quickly stop producing things that don’t sell.

Just buy trousers and shorts with pockets then.

I got annoyed about finding clothes with pockets I set up a website to find them all. ( Because I'm a web developer - I can't sew at all!) There are some lovely dress with pockets out there where they don't say anywhere in the description they have pockets and you only find in the 3rd photo along. How are you supposed to find them like that? Luckily, I obviously have nothing better to do. I found a maternity wedding dress with pockets the other day.
