This time last year during the very warm weather I had uterine cancer. My stomach was extremely swollen and I looked heavily pregnant. I wore baggy jumpers to hide my extreme and relatively sudden weight gain.

I was shopping yesterday when schools had finished...high street was full of teens in jumpers and blazers. I remember when we had a couple of days last year of those 40 degree days...saw a couple of teenage boys in full school uniform, jumper blazer AND puffer coat!

They love their puffer coats! I am always amazed at their ability to keep them on even when the tarmac is melting.

Elderly DM came with me to a hospital appointment yesterday. She was wearing a cord pinafore with long sleeved thermal top underneath, thick tights, walking boots and a body warmer. DF said it measured 31 degrees when he came to collect us late afternoon ( he was in a shirt, trousers and jumper!) Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen my parents arms...hmmmm

My teenager keeps her blazer on because of body confidence issues. I would have thought those proclaiming to be teachers would be able to join the dots and work out what is going on.

Those people who want to hide SI scars or any medical scars/whatever, a long sleeved thin top would cover these up.

@sunshineatlast2024 What your parents wore yesterday are the typical clothing that customers wore yesterday then complained they are hot!
