Can I get a smooth body with a short torso or will I need intervention

So I’m on a weight loss journey. I’m short with a short torso and long legs. I tend to look lumpy if I’m not careful. I have to be at a certain weight to look smooth and even then I can look lumpy when I’m bloated. I’m decently slim not but want to lose a stone to look lean and smooth. I’m so jealous of those girls with longer torsos who just look amazing even when they’re bloated. At least I have decent legs so can’t complain too much. I do have bigger boobs which in my opinion are a bit too big but once I get down to ideal weight they should shrink a bit.

does any of you have advice on how to get to my goal a bit sooner e.g. waist training, certain exercises, certain diet changes? I watch my diet. I don’t eat clean but decently healthy. I would love to get liposuction done (yes I would resort to that because I don’t like looking lumpy that much) I’m hoping I’ll get a good job after maternity to start saving for it. I’m terrified of it not getting better then getting worse when menopause hits which is probably 20 years give or take for me.

I know this is vain and first world problems and people will say love yourself but I need to be a certain way to feel like myself and to feel comfortable and right now while I’m glad I’ve bounced back after pregnancy and lost weight I’m not 100% happy as I want to look long and lean so bad. A friend of mine recently had a baby a couple of months after me she’s got a long torso and she looks so much better than me. It’s not fair lol

I think yoiu look ok in that red dress for just having a baby. I have a short torso and long limbs and similar figure to you- I tend to just go with my shape, high waists and tight belts show off my hips and waist best

ClaudiaWankleman · 26/06/2024 14:15

I think you look really nice in the red dress.

Could you lose weight? Yeah almost all of us probably could. It would make you look different. I don't think it's necessary for you to lose weight to look nice though - you already do.

Thumberline · 26/06/2024 14:20

My ab muscles turned off in my second pregnancy (massive baby and I probably ate too much sugar). I have found exercise like mountain climbers and planking have helped turn them back on and tighten everything up again. Have a look at diastis recti exercises they generally help pull everything back in too. You look lovely though but it’s never easy post baby to adjust to your new body.

OMG it's you again.

OP if you're trying to hide your identity by changing your user name, it was silly to post a picture of yourself on this thread.

Your previous thread contains the same picture.

Thanks for the positive responses. I do admit I’m a bit obsessed with how I look and it shouldn’t be that way as much because I can get myself into a spiral if I let myself. How I look can determine how I feel. I wish I was one of those naturally smooth girls but I accept it just takes more work for me to be like that and everything else in life but once I get there it’ll be so worth it. To be fair I’ve always had that shape and when im thinner I look leaner and I’m lucky I didn’t end up worse off postpartum. If I find I get to goal weight and I’m still lumpy I will seriously consider liposuction even going abroad for it as I’m not going to be one of those frumpy middle aged women.

for anyone asking my baby is an absolute dream. He’s amazing and he’s doing so well.

I’ve heard keto is good but not sure how good it is for long term

You’ve got to be, what, a size 8, maybe a 10 at most? What kind of unethical doctor’s going to give you lipo?

VaddaABeetch · 26/06/2024 15:59

Why are long legs & a short torso z bad thing?

what is a smooth look?

If you are lucky you will be a middle aged woman one day, time stops for no woman.

I've never heard anyone refer to a 'smooth' body before. You aren't 'lumpy'. Humans aren't 'smooth', we aren't dolls. You look absolutely fine but it sounds like even if you achieved whatever your goal is you still wouldn't be happy with yourself, so maybe try therapy? Serious, not sarcastic. I hope you feel better

""Naturally smooth" girls
"Frumpy middle aged women"

This place gets funnier everyday.

Yes, I think op is a true misogynist . . .

BTW are you still breastfeeding? I found that I lost loads of weight with that.

I’d second this. Like liposuction from wherever needed.

Dontletme · 26/06/2024 16:05

I didn’t know what you meant by a ‘smooth’ body either. I think you mean slim and no belly.

liposuction abroad? You must be mad!

Why don’t you just wear different clothes? I am sure you look lovely in real life but in that photo your dress is a bit tight, that’s all.

It’s probably healthier than going abroad for unnecessary liposuction.

CocoPlum · 26/06/2024 16:07

HappierTimesAhead · 26/06/2024 13:39

Honestly, your utter obsession with how you look is not healthy (I say that based on this thread and other threads you have posted)

I can't find any others by this OP?

Mitsky · 26/06/2024 16:10

That dress is too small, you can see by how it’s rucking by your legs.

I probably look like I’ve got a longer smooth (whatever the hell that means) torso because I wear clothes that slim rather than cling. I’d look ridiculous in both the outfits you posted and I can’t believe you've posted a picture of a friend!

TheShellBeach · 26/06/2024 16:12

Charming. "Frumpy middle aged women" - what an awful thing to write.

And who's going to pay the unethical doctor abroad who performs this unnecessary surgery? I recall from a previous thread that you lost your job.

Who ended up in the bedroom with you? The dogs or the baby?

Trallers · 26/06/2024 16:26

OP i am attempting to say this gently so apologies if that doesn't come across.

You are being incredibly judgemental and it's very destructive to the rest of your life. What you call 'frumpy middle aged woman' is a very normal body shape. If you are viewing those women (who aren't even overweight necessarily) in such a negative light, then it makes sense that you would be very critical of your own appearance as that's your general perspective on the world. You are priorotising the superficial and giving it value that it just shouldn't have. That's not to say we should all shave our heads and walk around in humble bin liners, but there needs to be balance. Talking about lumps on a slim and healthy body, and frumpy middle aged women... this way lies self-obsession and misery, plus you will only ever be slipping further from your own impossible standards. Find the beauty in people (including yourself)) for what they have going for them, don't focus on the lack of beauty in the bits you think are unattractive. Forget joining the other unhappy people getting liposuction they don't need and make peace with the body you have.

Lentilweaver · 26/06/2024 16:26

We have all told her this before. The other threads are even worse.

CocoPlum · 26/06/2024 16:28

If you have a short torso, you're not going to look long and lean.

Rather than spending on lipo, why don't you invest in a personal stylist who can show you how to dress your shape to.draw attention to your best features and help you shop?

I'm not saying don't go through your fitness journey, but I think you want a completely different body shape which just won't happen.

And honestly- menopause will hit whether you have lipo or not.

But I'm just a frumpy middle aged woman so what do I know.
