Is there a best place to stay eg St Helier or St Clemente etc. Very short trip eg 2 days
Any advice appreciated!

Should add that we want to be as close as possible to restaurants and bars.
Does this mean we should stay in St Helier?
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

There's a premier inn in St Hellier right in the middle.

Well, St Helier is good for restaurants and for buses for getting around I guess. Also access to Elizabeth Castle and the Jersey museum and the Maritime museum and Occupation Tapestry.

We never stay there though as we take a car and the traffic is poor and we like the sunsets on the west coast.

Thanks! I should have added that we are not bothered about swimming pools etc so that’s good
Any other recommendations?

Teen divided-have you any hotel recommendations? Thanks

There are 2 Premier Inns in St Helier. There are plenty of places to eat and good bars nearby. Personally I think the one in Charing Cross is in a better position. No need for car hire if you stay here. St Aubins is also lovely but hotels here are much more expensive. There are some good value hotels in the St Clements area which are near regular bus stops.

No, because we do self catering and don't stay in St Helier.
2 days isn't nearly long enough to enjoy Jersey properly though!!

Moita’s Bistro, 23 Havre des Pas , St Helier lovely small family run Portuguese restaurant. Been there twice on separate holidays and food was excellent each time.

We stayed in St Helier (hotel was lovely but quite a walk through the town) and it was ideal for buses to everywhere on the island. Agree you’ll need more than a couple of days though!!!

Definitely go to Elizabeth Castle. My other recommendation would be to get an ice cream from the kiosk at St Catherine’s Breakwatwr, they’re huge!

We did a long weekend, Friday to Monday, in Jersey and loved it. We stayed at the Pomme D'Or in St Hellier. It was brilliant as it was just down the road from the bus station which has a direct link to airport. Buses were brilliant.

Adventureplease · 25/06/2024 20:39

I would stay in St Helier. The bus service is great if you want to get about.
There are loads of great places to eat and drink in St Helier. The market is worth a visit as is Elizabeth Castle. St Aubin is lovely, it’s a nice walk round and you can catch the petit train or bus back

Get a bus to the hungry man cafe in rozel.
