… to ask WHERE you met your new partner as a 40-something single parent?

It seems a large amount of people who have broken up with a partner or spouse then fairly quickly meet someone new, whose invariably a better, happier fit than the first.

As someone who has tried and failed at dating apps, can I ask where the blazes you’re all meeting these new people?!

The good men I know are either still married (makes sense), gay or a bit too young. A friend said I need to wait until someone becomes widowed 😕

V late 30's, at work - I'd actually known him for years.

Mid-40's, dating app.

At 39, an old work colleague got in touch via Facebook to ask me for a catchup over a coffee… despite the complications of geography, kids, exes etc. we’ve been together ever since (15 years). I had eschewed dating apps and was going to say no to him, I was committed to being single, but friends said ‘go! What have you got to lose?’ Dear Reader, it turned out I had everything to gain!
