Next door are having a bbq this evening. They have kindly invited us in for "a burger and a glass of wine". Lovely thanks, what time? "Ah, just drop in whenever." I bloody hate ambiguity

Yeah that's really annoying.

Can you see their garden out of the window? Have a look and see if anyone else if there or whether you can smell the bbq yet!

I was juggling groceries as ndn called across the drive so after asking what time, no I didn't follow up. Annoyed with myself as much as the situation ( situation being not knowing, not the invitation). Will wait for some nice smells
