Never really been a big fan, or had anything against her, thought she might be a bit annoying (feel mean for saying that) but recently I’ve seen some YouTube videos of podcasts with Fearne Cotton and others and I’ve just found her to be so interesting and I’m almost nodding ahead with all she says about motherhood and the reasons why her relationship broke down, just basically the sheer workload women take on in comparison to men.
I might get her book, has anyone got it and/or seen the interviews?
She comes across really well

I've read a couple of extracts, I didn't identify with any of it. I'm glad it's hit a chord with you though.

I like her. Tbh honest most of what she's saying is so bleedingly obvious! To women at least.. but is nice to hear it being talked about so openly.

Fishcake18 · 22/06/2024 22:23

And she's funny..not moany.

I saw a few articles on Facebook and agreed with much of what she said. Lots of men in the comments not happy about it at all though!

@lundland Really? I found it all so relatable, perhaps it’s just mine and friends situations

@Fishcake18 It is, but why aren’t we saying it more

I talk about it alot with my female clients (therapist)

Fishcake18 · 22/06/2024 22:41

So important to appreciate the systemic issues that are affecting people (women) otherwise maybe in the pub..

She was on BBC Radio Four Woman’s Hour this week. She came across well and the presenter loved what stef was saying but as PP said it seemed to be the bleeding obvious to me but good that the mother load/ wife work issues are being spoken about more generally.

I adore her!

She’s so honest. She talks about how she broke up with her partner because she didn’t feel the contribution was equal in the relationship but equally how heartbroken she feels. She’s a real feminist too. A lot of what she says is very relatable.
