plastic surgery operation tomorrow. I am really concerned. She is having boob job, lipo and tummy tuck.

She seems to think she will be doing the school run on Monday. I have done a little research on the internet and the general consenus is that it is very traumatic post recovery and takes along time. Along with drains and binding.

I am not sure she is aware. Although I am sure the surgeon would have told her all this, surely?

She has three young boys.

Not really your business what she does though, is it?

She obviously wants it, and I am sure she has researched it somewhat. I should imagine that she will be okay for Monday, my friend had major surgery and was laid up for just a few days after. Nothing strenuous of course, but its a school run.. she will cope. And if she can't, surely you, as her friend, would help out?

Support her. She is your friend.

Knowing someone who had something similar - I would say no she may not be doing the school run -can you say you could help with the school run or something?

My colleague had a tummy tuck and lipo at the edges (had lost 8 stone, and it was to take up the excess skin), and she was at the clinic for 4 days, and then off work for a week and a half, but even then had to take it very easy and was in pain

my friend had a tummy tuck and muscle tightening she was in considerable pain after it and couldn't even stand up straight for quite some time, she also couldn't drive for a few weeks.
She had had a c section with her ds and said that was nothing in comparison to it.

So I doubt she will be doing the school run next week, and probably for a few more weeks.

oh i have offered to do the school run for her, goes without saying. I am just concerned she is talking as though she is having a few teeth out.

I know it is not my business but we are very close and just dont want her to be looking through rose coloured spectacles regarding her recovery.

cba, you sound like a good friend to her. No doubt her mind is made up and everyone has a different way of approaching things - maybe she is trying to put on a brave face, but deep down knows she won't be doing the school run on Monday. I doubt very much if you will change her mind at this point, so all you can really do is be there for her afterwards.
