AIBU?

Petty but need to know if AIBU.

We need the neighbours to sign an important document. It cannot be a relative. Our friends that would usually do this are away, and I haven’t the time to be asking others who live further away to do it as we need to send these documents off tomorrow.

The only neighbours we speak to have a lovely, but overexcitable large dog who jumps up. They have even warned us of this before we go round as I’m pregnant. I wanted to send DH instead and DH is in a sulk because he’s showered and he will have to get changed to go over. He has said 1) the dog won’t jump and 2) why can’t I just ask the neighbours to put it in a different room if I’m that worried.

If the dog did jump up at me I know it would be fine but I’m really anxious in this pregnancy and think it’s best I avoid a possible situation which I will inevitably worry about all night

I think it would have been rude to ask the neighbours to put their dog in another room. It’s the dog’s house and they are doing us the favour.

AIBU to be annoyed at DH for not just willingly getting up and going round without complaining about it? It will take all of 2 minutes out of his day

Should’ve done a better title!

The more I stew on it the worse I feel. Usually he’d do a lot for me but he knows I worry so why not do all possible to alleviate that stress for me? That’s not an unrealistic expectation, is it?

Why can't they come to you to sign. Why do you have to go to them.

Because they're doing her a favour, you can't also ask them to come over to you to do it!

Exactly this

It sounds like a one-off important document. Your DH should just pull on some trackies and get it done.
