I'd get a taxi

percypig84 · 20/06/2024 20:08

There’s a very regular bus service from the International to the city centre, then you could either walk to take a taxi to Titanic, it’s not too far!

buidhe · 20/06/2024 20:09

It's really close - a few minutes drive, get a taxi as there isn't any easy public transport option. As far as I know you'd have to go in to town and out again pretty much. From the museum to town, there is a bus, you'd have to check the timetable on that.

HereLiesBetelgeuse · 20/06/2024 20:12

Uber

It's a pleasant walk over a bridge from the Titanic area to the City Centre. You can also call at St Ann's Cathedral along the way.

It's about half an hour in a car but there are buses from the airport to the city centre. I'm not sure where it stops I think it used to stop at the europa bus station but that's closed now.
If it stops near city hall it's about a half hour walk to titanic. Get a taxi especially if you have luggage and it will probably be raining

buidhe · 20/06/2024 20:44

Yes, sorry all, I was thinking of City Airport. Agree with others, bus into town and then walk, taxi or second bus.

TokyoSushi · 20/06/2024 21:04

I did this a few weeks ago, 300 bus from the airport to the city centre and then walked, it was really easy and the bus was about £12 return.

Buryyiirwhat · 20/06/2024 21:17

Airport bus is great, into city centre then it’s a nice stroll to Titanic. I wouldn’t bother with a cab to/from Titanic into city centre as it’s so close!

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 20/06/2024 21:18

the airport bus is great and about £12 return, it’s about 15/20 minute walk from the city centre along the river

It's not really close. Belfast international airport is like 30 miles from Belfast. You will need to get a bus to Belfast City centre then another bus to Titanic. Or get a taxi from International airport.

buidhe · 20/06/2024 21:51

@ilovepixie yes you are right, I had it confused - was thinking of City Airport

MariaDingbat · 21/06/2024 00:24

Take the 300 bus from the airport and get off at Donegall Place (opposite M&S and near City Hall). Walk around the corner to Donegall Square then take the G2 glider from Donegall Square (outside Tim Hortons) to the Titanic quarter. You can get off at the Titanic hotel or museum depending on where you're going. From the Titanic quarter you can walk back into the city centre in about half an hour on just hop back on the G2 glider and get off at City Hall again. The glider is much quicker and cheaper than getting a taxi from Titanic quarter to the city centre.

Unless there's 3/4 of you in which case, Uber

Europa bus centre is still open isn’t it? It’s just the train station that’s closed.

Ponoka7 · 21/06/2024 01:20

Fyi the buses only take cash. They'll leave you stranded, even with children, late at night for the sake of a couple of euro.

Mamai100 · 21/06/2024 02:04

Uber are useless here. I've stopped even trying to get a taxi with them there are never any available.

Local taxis are available at the airport that would be my personal choice. It'll cost around £35.

Psychoticbreak · 21/06/2024 02:12

Get the bus transfer or call a taxi but do not go out on the road and 'pull in' a black cab. They are not the same as in England!!

DenimHiker · 21/06/2024 03:32

In a taxi

TakeOnFlea · 21/06/2024 07:34

Oh we never had an issue with them. Just looked and there are 2 available now even with morning demand in Donegal square.
