We've just replaced a perfectly good fridge with a much larger fridge.

I had the option of having the old fridge picked up when the new fridge is delivered for a cost, but thought it might be useful to someone so put it on Freecycle. There is nothing wrong with the Fridge, it's just too small for our needs now.

A number of people showed an interested and, I picked someone and contacted them to arranged collection.

Great thought I, but I have so far contacted two different people to either to be told that they don't want it now or don't bother to get back in contact.

AIBU to think that you should actually want what you ask for.

It's the usual thing though, isn't it, a few inconsiderate people spoil what is a good idea for everyone else.

When did they respond? Lots of people don't have constant access to their email

It is hard to keep up with all the messages in there.

I would give it at least a day to give them a chance to look at your message and respond to you.

Whoever has said yes to it might need to run it past their partner as well and they might be trying to organise collection.
