Would you like to join me at 8pm BBC1 to celebrate Michael Mosley and all he has meant to us? Perhaps with a glass of red wine or some nuts, dark chocolate and berries?

Like many of you, I’m a huge Michael Mosley fan – I’ve 8 of his books sitting on my book shelf as I type. He’s the one who introduced me to intermittent fasting, and to creating a healthy gut. His is the comforting voice that accompanies me on walks, inspiring me to do Just One Thing. I realise he is the public persona who has had the most influence on my life. I will miss him hugely.

There’s a 60 minute tribute programme to him on BBC1 8pm this evening: The Doctor Who Changed Britain.

I’m going to be watching with DH with a glass of red wine, a wee bit of blue cheese, some dark chocolate, nuts and berries. In moderation of course!! I love the idea of thinking of others doing this at the same time – a couple of my mates are in other parts of the country – Would you like to join us?

And perhaps share what he's meant to you.. I'd love to know more and hope others will take some comfort from the huge difference he has made to so many lives.

And from today I’m taking on the Just One Thing I’ve been meaning to do for a while – Standing on one leg while brushing my teeth. As well as dipping into the book with affection, and gently reintroducing some of the others – like walking backwards, which always makes me laugh.

I'll join you as soon as I've done my plank and wall sits. I'm going to need a big box of tissues too.

Recording it but have a tub of carrot sticks beside me 💜. So unbelievably sad but what a legacy he left.

Notquitethere60 · 14/06/2024 20:33

An excellent watch. Realise how much influence he had over the years.

It was only a 30 minute programme on my tv guide. I watched it at 8pm and it finished at 8.30pm, a lovely programme

SoftandQuiet · 14/06/2024 20:46

Fabulous programme, what a career, I never knew he was on Tomorrow's World or that he'd done a series featuring his family.
I don't usually follow TV personalities but I feel so sad about his death, really premature. Clearly a nice guy who has done so much for so many people.

BluebirdBoogie · 14/06/2024 20:58

I think about him every morning when I'm standing on one leg. Such a huge loss.

Just watched on catch up. Such a sad turn of events. My heart goes out to his family.
