AIBU to myself over stressing about the seating plan at the Taylor Swift Era's tour

I thought I would type this here purely because someone may actually know and its stressing me out really bad. We have tickets for the Wembley event and thought we had an unobstructed VIP ticket - There are no indications on the seating plans of any obstructions and the seats are advertised as the best views. However in the press for the Edinburgh event people are reporting that their VIP view was blocked by a tent with electrical equipment in it. I thought this would not affect me as the tents are shown on the seating plans for Edinburgh and there are none shown on the seating plans for Wembley. However none are shown on the seating plans for the Liverpool event either but drone shots clearly show these tents have been put up.

I have tried asking AXS if that despite being advertised as the best views are there any notes in my T&Cs for the tickets that my view may be obstructed but they wont answer the question.

Wembley will not engage in any conversation at all about seating.

I imagine on the day I would just have to ask to move but does anyone have any advice - I think I am just being really unreasonable to myself to worry at this stage to the extent that I am stressing.

I have attached a sample picture of what I am talking about.

jpin this group and ask someone from last night if they can post a view from a seat near to yours. People have already been doing this to help people.

I found a better photo. OP, I think your seats will be good. This is possibly the opposite side(might be reversed because it's on TikTok) but the seats are the same either side. You seats are around where I've highlighted.

The lighting rig will potentially be a bit in the way at times but I don't think it will be a problem.

@Shan5474

I bought hospitality tickets for TS at Anfield the day after the tour was announced, so they were available before general sale.

I believe other venues were doing that as well - Anfield was different as that for the first day or so they didn't require you to be a member while other places did. That rule was then changed I think.

@Putting sorry to derail the thread, but has the chap in your picture got a diamanté decorated head? Fabulous! 😅

Yes - and it was amazing!

You've bothered citizens advice with this 🙄

Well seeing as citizens advice have a dedicated consumer helpline that deals with all issues you may come up against as a consumer then why should she not have contacted them. It is literally what they do. They help citizens with all kinds of problems. No need to be so rude with your silly eye roll.

Looking promising ....

People were getting moved into the press seats.

This is what we could see on arrival

Glad they loved you - that looks like a great view now.

😮. That's terrible! Thank goodness you could move. I'm sorry my earlier reassurances that the seats looked ok were so wrong.

It's really really shitty to sell tickets with such a restricted view when they are not restricted view tickets.

Anyway, all sorted!

Hope you have a brilliant time

Lkjhgdsrtgbjjm · 22/06/2024 18:16

Your seats are actually excellent now!

Ineffable23 · 22/06/2024 18:44

I'm glad they've moved you, seats look fabulous now. Have a wonderful time tonight!

This is anfield... Unfortunately there were people sat to the left, behind the stage... Feel sorry for them...

My girls registered last year and were lucky enough to get tickets on the day of the concert last Friday through ticket master.... £57!

Edited

I think those behind the stage paid for obstructed view. Better being in than not in my opinion as they got the atmosphere and could see some of it and see it on the screen.

I got hospitality tickets for Anfield without being a member or anything. Cost about £400 but that included a 3 course meal, free bar and tier 2 seating with a cracking view. Compared with what some have paid I thought it was quite a good deal as it was no more expensive than a top football game in that section but much better!

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 22/06/2024 19:10

@Sonener - sounds like same package as us (beautiful game / M4) I was really happy with what we got for the price - certainly compared to resale prices!

I would imagine Citizens Advice have more important things to do.

You would certainly hope so!

A quick Google would have shown you that citizens advice have a whole section dedicated to consumer issues. OP had a consumer issue so why wouldn't she get advice from an organisation that deals with consumer issues?

Yeah citizens advice love this sort of thing

They help with consumer issues, do you think that they would say to the OP ‘sorry you clearly have too much money for us because you can buy VIP Taylor Swift tickets, go away’ because I volunteered there for years and guess what - they wouldn’t? Do you think they means test their advice?

longers · 22/06/2024 21:00

Great seats now - that was pretty shocking before. Which block and row have you been moved to? Was it a fairly easy process to get moved? Enjoy the show!

It was dead easy to move, we were opposite in 121 around row 20.
