Do I or don't I?!

Long story short. I've got a new dentist, who happens to be very nice. I've had my initial consultation and I'm booked to go back for some work with them in a few weeks. They've popped up on my hinge and I'm tempted to like them. Should I or is it unethical?

I would

I feel old as I don't know what Hinge is 😂. I presume a dating site. No need to worry about ethics as I can't see a conflict of interest at all. However if he doesn't like you back will you be embarrassed to see him so soon?

Go for it as long as you are ok to see him at your appointment whatever happens.

Why not? The worst that could happen is you need to find a new dentist. If it ends up being an amazing love story, just think how healthy your teeth will always be having a dentist on hand. 😍

Go for it!! Why not?? They might not recognise you and you could always pretend you didn’t recognise them.

It’s possibly unethical for them? It could be awkward if they don’t like you? Who knows though? Keep us updated!!!

Don't do it. It's against code of regulations for them to date patients. You're putting them in the awkward position because of your intended actions.

I can understand the lure but no absolutely not.

YellowHairband · 13/06/2024 22:23

NHS dentists are hard to find - you'd be a fool to turn down the chance at a relationship that come with free dental.

Paininthederriere · 13/06/2024 23:10

Aren't you his patient though? Surely he will be bound by professional ethics?
