To hope that independent candidates do really well in this election

Party politics is so broken and depressing and kneejerk. Most party politicians are just in it for themselves.

I'd like to see a run of luck for locals who really care about their constituency and real issues.

(Not the mad ones obviously)

Our only independent candidate thinks the most important issue in the election is the rights of unborn people. I've googled her and I think she works for an evangelical church. I'm hoping she does extremely badly. Not a single local issue highlighted.

They’d not make a majority govt and would never reach agreement on anything.
