The trouble with all the body suits etc is that sooner or later you have to take them off, and all the flab is still there....

dal21 · 07/04/2008 17:32

what i can never figure out is where the flab goes. doesn't it pour over the top in unflattering muffin style?

ComeOVeneer · 07/04/2008 17:36

DAl21 it acts as nice strong muscles and holds everthing in, the fat is still there. Don't try and buy a size too small in the hope for a better result as it will squeeze out the top.

Piffle · 07/04/2008 17:36

esbelt rules ok.

love2sleep · 08/04/2008 09:14

I have tried a few of these and my only advice is to get the corset type ones that go up to near your bra rather than the pants that go to your waist and give an unpleasant muffin top.

ALMummy · 08/04/2008 09:25

Yes they do work. I went through a stage where I didnt leave the house without them. I found M&S the best and like love2sleep says get the ones that come up to your bra or the all in one body suit type. I found they gave a less bumpy and firmer shape and more confidence, you dont feel so loose and flabby .

jingleyjen · 08/04/2008 09:27

got the higherpower spanx, i love them and like the fact they have a wee hole so you don't have to take them off for a wee, however in the immediate aftermath they wouldn't work with postnatal pads

spanx higher power are ace - and if you get the black ones, they also fill in the gap between top and jeans when Bfing nicely.

maidamess · 08/04/2008 09:40

matalan do great ones for a tenner, in 'flesh' colour and or black. they go from tits to mid thighs and really do the business!

ALMummy · 08/04/2008 09:42

Think OP is wondering if she is being unreasonable to think these might work on a big post pregnancy tummy littlelapin. By the way people most effective diet tip ever coming up - contract a dose of food poisoning - I have lost 5 pounds in two days, however I would not recommend it.
