YABU - he's great, I love him
YANBU - only an absolute IDIOT of a PM would have left the D-DAY remembrance early

Starmer seems to have the luck of Thatcher when it comes to his enemies/opponents. Johnson, Truss and Sunak are dreadful leaders and Prime Ministers.

"Sunak isn't a very good politician" - in some ways that could be seen as a compliment.

Not when politics is your actual job.

It could possibly be a compliment if he was failing politically because he wasn't ruthless enough, if he was too honest and too principled to play the game. But he's a proven liar who puts his own self-interest ahead of the country and it's people every time and his campaign is still a complete joke.

I'll be glad when he fucks off to California.

I'm actually starting to feel (very very slightly) sorry for some of the conservative MPs that will lose their jobs due to Sunak's stupidity.

Sunak is to the Conservative Party what Phillip Green was to BHS.

I think Gerald Ratner is a much better comparison, for those that remember.

He’s a disgrace . Bring back national service ?!

Some at least advised him properly. Cameron is reported in The Times as saying he tried to get through to him but being unable to change his mind. There is really no hope for a PM hasn't got the sense to listen to his Foreign Secretary who is a former PM who was at the 70th anniversary D Day celebrations.

Yes Sunak comes across as very entitled and arrogant. You can see it in the way he just shouts over people. I bet he was treated like a little prince by his parents. I find it highly believable he ignored good advice.

Showed his true self- not bothered about the veterans feelings or the other leaders who had the decency to stay. Also, the way he spoke over Liz Truss in the leadership contest and over Keir Starmer earlier this week showed the real person. I think the more we see of him the more the mask is slipping and those very elderly gentleman have more decency than he can ever have. It was a stupid decision politically but not surprising given he didn't have the moral courage to act when those endless parties were happening in number 10 during lockdowns and he was in number 11. My dad died from covid - 15 people at his funeral, not able to be with him, I see this lot and hope, finally, they will be voted out.

I lost both of my parents during Covid, same experience as you.

Like most politicians he’s in it for what he can get during and after being PM.
Apparently he’s keen to move to USA, they’re welcome to him as far as I’m concerned!

If you dont know yet, you're never going to.
I shant waste my breath on the labour massive. Because Keir is so utterly wonderful

So nothing but you’ve said it and you’re doubling down on it.

Good comparison. The Tories are currently worth about the same as a prawn sandwich. But less likeable.

Above response was to @SerendipityJane re Gerald Ratner
