To ask if you will actually vote?

Not asking who you're voting for, but are you actually going to make the effort of voting (by going to the polling station on the day or postal vote)?

Am on the app so voting options don't seem to be available.

Of course. I will be on holiday (like much of Scotland) so have registered for a postal vote.

FrogandTrumpet · 06/06/2024 21:32

Yes, I have done at every election since I’ve been eligible to vote. Why wouldn’t I?

SilverSimca · 06/06/2024 21:32

Of course I will

DanceTheDevilBackIntoHisHole · 06/06/2024 21:32

Yep. Always. Never not voted in any election or referendum since I turned 18.

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/06/2024 21:33

Of course.

BingoMarieHeeler · 06/06/2024 21:33

Yep

HandsDown84 · 06/06/2024 21:33

Of course. Never miss a vote.

Maireas · 06/06/2024 21:34

Yes, every single election since the very first one I was entitled to, in 1979.
Local, general and referendum. Never missed one.

PonyPatter44 · 06/06/2024 21:34

Of course I will. So will my partner and my DD. Gotta get these corrupt idiots out of office!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2024 21:35

Since I was 18 in 1985 I have voted in every parish, local, county, general, European election. It would never cross my mind not to vote.

is it really that much of an effort?!

SlowerMovingVehicle · 06/06/2024 21:35

Yes. Such is my rage at what they've done. Also voting by proxy for dd who won't be here.

If you disengage and don't vote in a crisis like this, I think it's bordering on irresponsible. People have to take responsibility for their own opinions and hold these bastards to account.

EmmaStone · 06/06/2024 21:35

Wouldn't occur to me not to vote ('lesser' elections though, I have missed occasionally, but a General? Wouldn't miss it).

Alconleigh · 06/06/2024 21:36

Yep. It's so important, and hardly a huge effort.

OldTinHat · 06/06/2024 21:37

Yes.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2024 21:37

And im going to say it. People who don’t vote are, to my mind, a bit pathetic. The “they’re all the same” schtick doesn’t wash with me either.

BIossomtoes · 06/06/2024 21:37

Women died so I could vote, not doing so would be like spitting on their graves.

DreadPirateRobots · 06/06/2024 21:37

Er. Of course. Why wouldn't I? What right would I have to criticise our democracy if I didn't exercise my most basic responsibility and opportunity to participate in it?

MrsApplepants · 06/06/2024 21:38

Nope. There’s simply no one sensible to vote for here. I’m in Wales. Labour have proved themselves awful. Not voting Tory. None of the others appeal.

cromwell44 · 06/06/2024 21:39

Of course, but the apathetic non-voters aren’t likely to response to this thread.

StressedEric · 06/06/2024 21:39

Yes of course . Decisions are made by those who show up

Isitchill · 06/06/2024 21:39

Of course. I've not missed a local or general election in the 32 years I've been able to vote.

Fab238 · 06/06/2024 21:40

No, I won't.

Maireas · 06/06/2024 21:40

I know and it doesn't even make sense! Just read the info.

Pin0cchio · 06/06/2024 21:40

Yes. I always vote. I quite often take the DC so they know its happening and how important it is you vote.

L1ttledrummergirl · 06/06/2024 21:43

Absolutely. I can't wait.
