I've had a Civil Service interview which was a sort of online assessment centre made up of an interview and other assessments.
I already work as a civil servant, but my work laptop isn't compatible with the interview software used, it's blocked.
My Dad kindly lent me an old laptop, I did the connection tests etc. Before the interview, all fine.
Did my interview, went well. Then my laptop decided to fail on me right before the other assessments. Just started running very slowly, my internet at home works fine on my work laptop.
The technical staff were very helpful and told me not to worry, that I could come back and redo it.
I was disappointed but glad I can redo it.
I was able to access it on my phone but they don't allow this. Anyway, just not sure what to do now before I redo the interview. I can't really afford to buy another laptop (unless maybe under £100?) in-person would be much easier but they don't offer this.
