To think the bloke in the motor insurance ad at the top of the page looks like he's...erm... engaging in self-love once he gets down to a certain level?

Or is it me?

I'm finding it extremely offputting!

(you're all now going to say you can't see this ad and I shall feel extremely silly...]

StripeyMama · 06/04/2008 20:27

Me and a friend were giggling about it last night

lovecat · 06/04/2008 20:28

That's me, stripeymama, guaranteed to lower the tone wherever I go...

I was gonna post the exact same thing but didn't want people to think I had a dirty mind.

Merlin · 06/04/2008 20:31

errrrrr - where? I just have an Oli ad

RustyBear · 06/04/2008 20:34

Yes!
It reminds me of this bit from the TV quiz Catchphrase.

suzi2 · 06/04/2008 20:53

I'm about to turn off my adblocker for a look...

BarcodeZebra · 06/04/2008 20:55

Dear God! He's rubbed it so much it's gone red!!!!!

I've spent 40 mins refreshing just so i can see this and now I can't stop laughing.

How long d'you reckon before the art director at that ad agency gets called into the boss's office?

suzi2 · 06/04/2008 20:56

I've had to refresh about 20 times to get it, but yes, I agree. YANBU

MsHighwater · 07/04/2008 15:11

LOL, I thought the same thing when I saw it!

OrmIrian · 07/04/2008 15:12

Yes. I thought that but didn't like to say so

Miggsie · 07/04/2008 15:13

I did a double take when I first saw it.
I have disabled the advert downloader!

PrettyCandles · 07/04/2008 15:15

Definitely YANBU. I was somewhat the first time I saw the ad, as I hadn't seen the begining, so didn't know what he was actually doing!

hattyyellow · 07/04/2008 15:24

Laughing like a madwoman..I'm so glad you've posted this, I thought it was just me thinking that!

shoshe · 07/04/2008 15:52

Ok its not fair, I keep looking BUT IVE NEVER SEEN THE AD, is it cos I'm ols and MNHQ are worried I might have a heart attack if I saw it so have banned it from my PC.

I WANNA SEE IT!!!!!

RustyBear · 07/04/2008 16:36

I've seen it shoshe & you're younger than me.....
I haven't seen it since yesterday afternoon though - have they got embarrassed & pulled it?

shoshe · 07/04/2008 16:42

Thats not fair at ALL if Rusty has seen it!

It might be the only bit of excitemment I get in a while

RustyBear · 07/04/2008 17:30

I'd have thought watching your DH ride through fire every weekend & wondering if he's going to come home with his eyebrows would be excitement enough, shoshe.
If not, you could try my link above (or below, depending on how you read threads....)

shoshe · 07/04/2008 17:35

Oh that is so RUDE Rusty!
