To say milk is going sour more quickly now?

We get milk from the milkman and it’s going sour every week before the next lot arrives. I was just talking to a friend about this and her milk (from a supermarket) is going sour faster too.

YABU - I haven’t noticed
YANBU - yes, my milk is going off quicker

I liked the idea of glass bottles but the milk was just going off too quickly so we switched back to plastic. I definitely find delivered milk goes off more quickly than supermarket milk too.

Another thing with milk bought from corner shops. Rubbish dates. You would be lucky to get milk with a week’s shelf life on.

Thats funny, ive noticed this myself recently too. Had to throw out milk kept in the fridge and that never happens

How long is it usually in the doorstep before you take it in and is the seal intact?
When I was a kid, birds often pecked through the foil tops of the bottles, which would make it sour more quickly.

I remember this, the birds liked the cream bit at the top. And we still drank the milk Shock

Thank you for all your brilliant posts on here.

I had a hideous moment last week. I accidentally ate a mouthful of mouldy bread, then washed my mouth out with a swig of sour milk. Not my best day.

I’ll check the fridge temperature and check when the milkman delivers. We usually bring it inside at around 8am, but the plastic bottles are never very cold so maybe he’s delivering at midnight.

@DoingJustFine last summer when I had a rubbish night’s sleep I got up about 2am and heard a vehicle. Looked out the window and it was the milkman. It was mid teens c that night. Plus the direction of sun hits front door.

Their milk must got sour very quickly
