I bought some sunglasses, costing near to £400. They were due to be delivered on a Wednesday. On the Tuesday evening I had news of a family emergency and had to travel away from home. I tried to reschedule the delivery on the couriers app but it wasn’t working for me and I was too stressed to persevere.
On the Wednesday I had notification that my parcel had been delivered, I assumed to a neighbour. I tried to track it again using the courier’s website but again, it wasn’t working.
The following Tuesday I was able to come home and found a delivery note saying my parcel was “by bins”. I went to look for it and it wasn’t there. I spoke to my neighbours and they hadn’t seen a parcel but had cleared up some loose cardboard around my bins which had blown out and was soaked through by the rain before the bin men came on the Thursday.
I am going to be out of pocket for these glasses now or AIBU to expect a replacement?
