Gonna get a ticket

I turned left from a mini roundabout straight into a restricted anpr covered private road. I realised and reversed back out. I'm almost certain a ticket is coming as its monitored by a private dodgy firm. I'm very tempted to have them take me to court. Will it affect my credit rating etc if I ignore their penalties? I've got good credit and don't really want to wreck it. Genuine mistake though. Also do I admit I was driving or not?

Obviously you admit you were driving, why wouldn't you??

LordEmsworth · 02/06/2024 00:44

Yup, ignore the penalty letter, and pretend you weren't driving. Both are absolutely genius ideas, no-one's ever tried them and not got away with it.

I didn't know that private firms could fine you for driving a short distance on a private road. If the firm is dodgy then absolutely fight it in court. But don't ignore the letter if there is one, that will not help you.

I really don't think you will get a ticket. It was clearly a mistake
