To ask if you struggled with MH in pregnancy, was it the same for all your pregnancies?

I worry all the time about the wellbeing of my baby, that I’m eating the right things etc. My worrying is excessive so I have sought support for it.

My question is; if you experience worries in your first pregnancy are you likely to be that way for subsequent pregnancies or do you relax a bit more second/third time round?

Many thanks

No, but my MH deteriorated the most pregnancies I had.

I suffered with depression during my pregnancy, almost took my own life! I got help from the perinatal mental health team and they literally saved my life and that of my family. Speak with your midwife, GP and get some help! There is light at the end of tunnel, believe me. I'll always carry some guilt for what I might have or might not have done to my now healthy happy 5 year old boy!!!

Thank you. That sounds hard. I am fortunate to not suffer from depression, for me it’s anxiousness around am I doing things right. I have done and will continue to.

I bet your boy is absolutely fine, they’re tough cookies xx
