For the love of god can someone tell me when my daughter gets free hours!! Another misleading letter?

Had a letter with a temporary code for 15 free hours which says ‘as a working parent whose child turns 9 months old before September 1st 2024, you can have 15 hours of childcare a week from September 2024.’ But she’s not 2 until end of October?

There's 15 free hours for children over 9 months from September.

@neleh87 ive been told it was the term after they turn 2? So in my daughter’s case it would be January? I’ve been told this by various people and this letter says differently .

It's new. From September, you'll be eligible for up to 15 hours of childcare weekly, from 9 months old.

The rules are changing so under twos can be eligible for funding

All 9mo get 15 hours from this Sept and 30 hours from next Sept.

Thank you. So the nursery can charge a top up instead of the full amount? So instead of 80 quid a day it might be 30?
