Anyone thinking Biden is a bad choice next to Trump and what he's got in mind for his second term needs their head examined frankly.

Will they match the jumpsuit to his skin tone?

The riot at the Capitol should have been the end of him. I don't understand how he escaped prosecution for inciting the insurrection, and I don't understand how his core supporters didn't see through him for not turning up in person and leading the charge.

He hasn't escaped prosecution the case is still waiting to go to trial. The wheels of justice turn slowly particularly in the US

Hourlyglasshalffull · 30/05/2024 22:59

I've just watched his awful post verdict speech and I think this is going to end in wide spread violence

TeaMistress · 30/05/2024 23:00

It's my understanding that although he is now a convicted felon he will be unlikely to face any jail time and this won't impact his run for presidency. I am quite surprised by this. I honestly would have thought that being a convicted felon should then make anyone ineligible to occupy any position of power, much less the presidency of the United States. I am even more astounded that anyone would then go on to vote for him knowing that he is a convicted criminal. Is anyone on here in the US and can you tell us more about how ordinary American people feel about what is happening.

Sadly, I think you may be right. Look at what happened when he lost the last presidential election!

PuttingOutFirewithGasoline · 30/05/2024 23:02

Good news but we don't know what his punishment will be and he will appeal.

Myfarts · 30/05/2024 23:04

Do the MAGA crowd genuinely think he didn't sleep with Stormy?

BlessedKali · 30/05/2024 23:04

I'd be far more concerned about the hunter Biden laptop and what that has uncovered. Dealings with Ukraine that means the Bidens would have profited from the warm that's actual blood on their hands, but rather than the media exposing it or it being taken seriously, Trump is hounded for this which is nothing in comparison.... bit strange aye.

I suppose a senile man is a better puppet, and preferable to those who pull the strings.

Thanks, hadn't grasped this. Given the seriousness I assumed criminal proceedings would already have happened.

The founding fathers could never have imagined needing such a statement in the constitution and, until today, it wasn't necessary.

KnickerlessParsons · 30/05/2024 23:10

The important thing is that he is now a convicted felon so less electable

Some would say that would make him more electable.

Viviennemary · 30/05/2024 23:10

They are determined to stop him winning the election It's perfectly obvious.

All of it

Biden is senile, he isn't even making sense anymore. That's a fact, there is plenty of evidence.

The Hunter Biden laptop scandal is incredibly interesting, and shows how deeply corrupt that family is. If you don't know anything about it, go find out. Start with the journalist who uncovered it.

In comparison, sleeping with someone and then paying them off is nothing in comparison with what The laptop scandal revealed.

But why isn't it taken seriously? Strange.

Falsifying accounting records - Biden hasn't been charged.

How can anyone defend him? The US government needs an overhaul, men their ages should not be allowed to run a country.

July is going to be a glorious month. Tories out on July 4, Trump going to prison on July 11.

@BlessedKali I don't know much about Biden son but can the father pay for the sons sins?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 30/05/2024 23:18

I somehow don't think Trump will be spending any time in jail as can you imagine the absolute headache & cost of trying to keep him safe.

And as former US presidents keep their secret service security protection after their presidency ends - I very much doubt his Secret Service want to spend 24/7 working in a prison especially an American prison.
