To expect a bit of a lie in?

Just once a week? Dh didnt emerge til 10 yesterday, and this morning when dd awoke he turned over. If I ask him to look after her he just takes her into bed, never mind that her nappy needs changing etc.

Lie in?? Ha ha! Haven't had one of those for ages! Even when we went away to a hotel I woke up at 7am and couldn't get back to sleep!!

nope YANBU, however whether or not its going to happen is a different matter.
DH and I take it in turns on sat and sundays. However he has been working nights this week and then yest slept for 3 hours only to have to wake to knock down the garage and slog his guts off all day so I relented and gave him a lay in today...lol.

YANBU but I would lower your expectations, give him a minimum, once a month or a fortnight. I find I am awake like laurz tho unless I am ill.

Hey Islamum, you expect a lie in, fair enough, however it doesn't mean that you would sleep if your DH were looking after your DD. It's my second w/e DS free and I still wake up early in a jolt, as in, why am I still sleeping? Why isn't there any noise?!! But it's too late I'm fully awake by that stage

I find an hour or two during the day completely on my own much more satisfying. Announce I am going on an errand without dc and go to the bookshop/coffee shop and enjoy the calm grown up atmosphere.

aye right, I was working late shift last night but because dh stayed up after I got home watching films I had to get up with dc again this morning, am working late shift again tonight too

then again I suppose he is working between 11-4 bless him, of course he needs a lie in

i'm really naughty, dd did a poo, I told dh it was his turn and went back to bed for 40 mins, bliss, bless him
