To ask how often you take a photo of yourself?

I’m 27 and I’ve realised I don’t have any photos of myself since I was maybe 21/22. I want to look back one day and show my son/future children photos of myself through the years but I cringe at the thought of taking a ‘selfie’ and hate the concept and awkwardness of someone else taking my photo. So, everyone out there - how often do you take and keep photos of yourself and to those who are a little older, do you have many to look back on?

I am the photographer but I do ask people to take photos of me with my dc or somewhere nice because I wouldn’t have any photos of me if I didn’t. It’s very rare but why should we have pics of everyone but me.

Easiest way to take a selfie (learned from younger friends) is have your phone angled above you so you're looking up at it buy tilt your chin down! 😊

Thanks for that answer to my question. Now you say it, I realise it’s such a stupid question as smart phones have made it much easier, of course. D’uh! Still don’t quite get the social media ‘look at me’ show-off culture - I don’t know how people aren’t embarrassed to do it. But that’s an entirely different debate…

It's really sad how many people are saying "never". If other people aren't taking pictures either, you'll end up with very free photos of yourself. You might not care but when you're gone, those few pictures will be so precious to your loved ones. Take more selfies!

I will probably sound vain but I do take occasional selfies. If I've had a really good hair cut, sat in the garden in the sunshine, dog walk in the pouring rain with the wrong coat on. If I didn't I wouldn't have many photos of me over the years.
Well, that's a bit of a lie as my dd takes sneaky photos of me, usually with the pets, and not always flattering. My dh is rubbish at taking photos so family ones have been down to me over the years.

This. As I've got older, photos of me are always awful anyway.
