To think it's highly risk to be alone in a shop that sells high value watches?

Has anyone seen the story that's trending about Ollie.
Seems he was robbed on Saturday afternoon in a shop in London by two men who posed as customers but then restrained him and stole a load of watches.
One held him, while the other filled the bag.
Very good CCTV of those responsible.

Sadly he took his own life shortly after this incident. How bad are things getting now?

I wouldn't want to work alone with expensive jewellery would you and surprised it was allowed?
Risky business.
RIP Ollie.
The Scum stealing from people who are earning an honest living?

So sad. Was it his business? Newspaper reports are saying he was worried the insurance wouldn’t cover it.

I think he should have had some form of security but perhaps the lack of it was the reason he was targeted.

FTPM1980 · 28/05/2024 21:43

I would avoid speculating. Police have called for people to respect family privacy
Reading between the lines I think there is perhaps more to this than a simple robbery but I genuinely do not want to speculate more.

So sad.
People should realise by now they are being filmed in shops. They hadn't even covered their faces?

PassingStranger · 30/05/2024 17:44

It seems he was alone, in the shop.
He was worried that he might have to pay for the loss as they weren't covered by loss.
There were too many watches on display.
There was a Facebook Page where lots of watches were being shown and their prices.

Too tempting for unscrupulous people sadly.

Very tragic.

His poor family.

Poor lad, he must've been so worried about repercussions, but not his fault at all.

RIP Oliver
