littlbrowndog · 24/05/2024 14:14

But he did back it up with her evidence and what she said in her evidence

WiddlinDiddlin · 24/05/2024 14:14

'Oh yes it does look bad but only if you're a stupid member of the public, obviously us big biz types understand it'

It's a long bloody lunchbreak! It is ridiculous. They don't start till 0945 then have a break at 11 ish and then a lunch break that's well over an hour.

I have said it for years for the court service as well. Its such a waste of time and money.

They are sitting for 5-6 hours a day 9.45-1pm (with a 10 min loo break) and 2-4.30.

I suspect the lawyers and the chair need the extra time in the am/pm to go through documents and make notes of important points

Peregrina · 24/05/2024 14:15

The prospectus was false and she knew it. Criminal

Hasn't she said she wasn't involved all bar a bit of proof reading of the prospectus. Getting her excuses first, it seemed.

littlbrowndog · 24/05/2024 14:17

Missing Mike

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 14:20

This woman, what a fucking fool. This email.
I love this man's voice. Read to me firmly all day baby.

murasaki · 24/05/2024 14:20

How is she going to deny emails we can see?

SpindleyDindley · 24/05/2024 14:22

well chilled? more like well forgetful

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 14:22

Did you hear the public laugh hahaha

"Well chilled, on holiday"

Yes, full rewind. She is so foolish.

She did well in the past to make sure she never received any of the key documents. There would have been a culture in Post Office, like in many places, that you don't land top management with long and difficult documents. Instead they get summaries, ideally in written form and written clearly. It looks like, for whatever reason, Vennells was receiving the vital summaries from those beneath her verbally.

Yes, remember when a complaint was emailed to her and she pulled up her team with an email saying ‘This should never have reached me’? She wanted to keep herself out of the mire, and just orchestrate it from a distance.

murasaki · 24/05/2024 14:22

So a cross tone is fine for a woman and not a man. Nice.

littlbrowndog · 24/05/2024 14:22

The tone 🤦‍♀️

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 14:22

I love him reading it in that way, dunno what she's complaining about

Peregrina · 24/05/2024 14:23

So it seems that she started digging deeper, but not to ascertain where there were miscarriages of justice, but to manage the POs reputation.

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 14:23

This guy's asking the right questions.

murasaki · 24/05/2024 14:24

The blonde haired lady was smirking then.

I'm not gonna lie, I sometimes wonder how they don't smirk more. Of course, this is really serious but some things we've heard are just absurd

Jo Henderson .... served time in prison.

nauticant · 24/05/2024 14:26

Jo Hamilton.

That e-mail exchange shows that the "lovely calm" Paula is an act for high level management and the board and her anxiety to keep her name off incriminating stuff ... plausible deniability

littlbrowndog · 24/05/2024 14:26

Oh god. That poor woman. Prison for this shower of no goods
