Asking for a payrise?

Any advice on how to go about it? Decent career but feel a bit undervalued.

Check for payscales in similar roles advertised online. List any extra responsibilities that you've taken on since you started. Is there an annual pay review? Is it target related or a set percentage?

When did you last have a pay increase?

Just feeling like you need a pay raise isn’t enough. You need to show why you’ve already earned it. PP has some advice and if you Google this you’ll get lots of hints.

also the best way to get more money is to change jobs.

The best way is to get offered another job and get a counter offer!
But if that's not viable, I've previously put together a document setting out a business case for why I deserve a pay rise, including details of colleagues salaries in similar roles (I worked in a firm where people shared this information with trusted colleagues), salaries for similar roles advertised on job sites, and ROI from projects I've been involved in.

As previously stated, make sure you know what the position is worth. Then asking that the pay and role to reassessed by putting forward a proposal covering why
