@GoldenMalicious I think any organisation that has a 'me against the world' mentality probably should be having a long hard think about itself.

It's embarrassing that pretty much every single answer is qualified like that. It'd be much quicker and easier if she just wore a t shirt with 'i can't remember ' on it at this stage!

I don't buy this bullshit either.I used to work for the Post Office and I knew about the "IB" (Investigation Branch) and so did everyone I worked with. And we were all lowly counter clerks.

In a sense no, because it's been one long story of "I don't remember." "I didn't understand." When she is asked a straight question which requires a Yes or No answer, she prevaricates.

I assume that they have broken for lunch so the BBC report of the enquiry is going through extracts of this morning's proceedings.

I worked for an organisation related to the Post Office and in my first week was told about the, widely acknowledged as being notorious, investigation division of the Post Office. It was made very clear to us not to find ourselves on the wrong side of them because they destroyed the people they would go after.

I don't know if you know, but Susan Crichton gave evidence last week. She took a voluntary severence deal after disagreements about second sight.

Once she'd gone Vennels sent an email saying (something like) "the problem was she put her responsibilities as a lawyer above the interests of the PO".

She is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.
Her only hope is to convince people that she is thick, the alternative is that she is evil but if she is thick how did she come to be paid that much wonga ??

Yes, I watched Crichton's evidence and so what I was getting at is that Vennells represents what she claims Crichton did or didn't do according to what spin Vennells is doing at any particular moment.

Ahh, now it's the notorious board meeting that Crichton was prevented from attending.

She has no clue what a systemic issue is? 🤐

The significance of this is that Vennells relies heavily on Crichton withholding vital information and yet here's Crichton trying to get into a board meeting to brief them on vital stuff and being prevented from doing so. Thus, the board were kept in the dark, at least for a while longer.

Can someone please tell me WTAF Paula Vennels did with her day?
