I mean I know it’s free but I still feel you should say

Ask before taking? If it bothers you that much or if the item is unwashable? Just ask.

Chatonette · 18/05/2024 17:20

Smokers can’t smell it and don’t realise how offensive the smell is.

Most people will say if the item is from a 'smoke free and pet free home', but you could simply ask them if it bothers you that much ?

If it's clothing, then surely you'd be washing it anyway ?

Nah beggers can’t be choosers

white vinegar is great for getting rid of the smell of smoke - did the trick super efficiently in my DF home after he died - and the whole place stank at the start.

I agree because I find the smell of smoke revolting, but also now I tend to buy stuff that specifically says smoke free home. Made the mistake once buying a large children’s toy second hand and it stank of smoke. I don’t think smokers notice it though.

I know of someone who had a baby Oleg from a smoke free home if that's any use?
