To think Mumsnet should have a feature so that you can filter only the OP's responses...

...but maybe there is such a feature and I'm just not aware of it.

It would be such a great feature if you could click and select to see all the OP's responses so you don't have to read through 20 pages of responses before commenting, many of which are completely irrelevant as they have not bothered (or had time, totally get this) to read all the responses before replying.

Mumsnet - can we have this, please??

Thanks - kind answer. I bet there are others who don't actually know this. I'm not a huge user of MN and usually read all the responses (unless pages long)...

There must be lots of others as there are always masses of replies which indicate the person commenting has not read all the OP's posts on a particular thread.

She's not being unkind! Poster is referring to the stupid 'thanks' button which we all assume means like and use it thus.

Sorry misread it as saying there should be a 'stupid' button, had got used to the sarcasm on this thread and didn't read it in detail.

It is one of the only most useful new-ish bells/whistles on MN. I miss most functionality but even i knew about this oneGrin

GagaBinks · 17/05/2024 09:21

I really wish they had this on the app

GalileoHumpkins · 17/05/2024 09:22

Why do so many people not bother to use this

Maybe they're like you and didn't know it existed 🤷‍♀️

Stressybetty · 17/05/2024 09:22

The app doesn't have it and really should! Mumsnet just keeps logging me out of the website version every time I go to another page of a thread so I end up back at the app. 😡

If you have an android phone you can't do this.

I have an Android phone and I CAN do this.

Cotswoldbee · 17/05/2024 09:26

CherryogDog · 17/05/2024 09:14

@Musicaltheatremum I also have an android and use the feature all the time.
I don't use the app though so don't know if that's different?

Same here.
Android phone and the "See All" option has always been available.

Never been on the App.

InMySpareTime · 17/05/2024 09:28

The app does have it, there's a funnel icon at the top of each thread, when you click it the OP's username is top of the list of usernames and when you click that it shows just OP's posts.

InMySpareTime · 17/05/2024 09:30

My iphone app does this, I love it

thenewaveragebear1983 · 17/05/2024 09:31

I would actually like a ‘see my own’ button so I can just read back my own posts on long threads. Not because I’m so witty and interesting, but because i usually am on long running threads about diets or fitness and it would be quite handy to be able to go back and re-read my progress without having to read everyone’s. I’m sure it must be possible because your own threads are highlighted in colour, so it’s probably not too much of an ask.
@mnhq?

There's not really any sarcasm - I think people are just a little surprised a button that says 'OP Posts: See all' was missed!

It does have it, you can filter posts by who posted them (as another poster above has alluded to). The OP's username will be at the top of the list.

I totally agree!

In very long threads I often wonder whether to post again, in case I repeat - or even worse, contradict! - myself...

As I mentioned, I thought it meant 'see all posts' by that poster (across threads - not just the one I was on) as most threads I read keep giving the same answer over and over and over again!

bit like this one ;)

This has been available for years, OP.

It is indeed useful!

It really hasn’t. Only a recent addition (on the site at least, i don’t use the app). A year or 2 probably. I remember so many posts exactly like this OP campaigning for the feature.

Ah OK, I've only really started using MN more over the last year (never on the app).

Exactly. Lots of features not available on the android app, it's frustrating.

On the app though see all (and thanks) isn't available.

Yes it is

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/05/2024 09:46

Top right on app. The symbol on left shows all op

But no you can't thank or edit on app

No opportunity for editing either!

FOHM · 17/05/2024 10:05

On the app, touch the little < by the date/time and the options to filter etc are there

Admittedly I am on an iPhone so can't speak for the app on android devices.
