Does anyone understand when the ‘period’ runs for the 500 tax free childcare?

I don’t understand when it runs from. It says I have 22 pounds left contribution but I don’t know when it refreshes for the next 500?

@Stressedoutforever @TwinklyTraybake i reconfirmed last week and it says I have 28 pounds left though? I’ve not used it since reconfirming as the bill is due again in two weeks

It’s every three months but everyone’s is different. I work on the basis that month 1 is a good month, month 2 is a bit ouch and month 3 is hell!

I’ve been having the same problem!
its annoying because nursery fees are not exactly the same date, so sometimes I have to pay nursery before the 500 kicks in!
I wish it could just be the same every month lol

Oh ok so it’s likely it won’t show the extra until after next month is paid… that’s very stressful!

I think the window to reconfirm opens a few weeks before the new "cycle" starts (it lasts 2 weeks so it's at least that).
I do find it confusing too because it's not on fixed dates.

It's either the date reconfirmation opens, or the last date you can reconfirm. Sorry I can't remember which, but I did once speak to a very nice helpful person on the helpline who managed to explain it all to me!
