To tell you an unknown benefit of most life insurance plans

Is now GP 24/7.

With the nightmare of trying to get an appointment with your own GP, most insurers have included the additional benefit of GP 24/7 or similar. Typically free. Most is an app you download on your phone that you can book an appointment on and they call/video call at that time. They can usually refer if requiring specialist advice (orthopaedics/etc) and can prescribe.

I didn’t know this, so good to know. Insurance companies should put this in their ads.

Just thought it might help someone because I have seen a few posts about not being able to get an appointment recently, and if it helps someone.

They periodically change benefits, but most have kept this option for the last 4/5 years.

A lot do physio appointments and things like that too.

Also, the GP 24/7 typically includes immediate family so is probably very useful for children x

I have mine as a work perk, and it’s invaluable. Brilliant service.

Yes, we have this service with our work life insurance cover. Very useful. I spread the word about it at work and lots of us have used it.
