Not an experience or day out

Whilst i could afford for cinema trips to be a “day to day event”, i certainly wouldn’t want it to ever be a “day to day event”!!

Definitely a treat for me and always has been, even when I was a child and it was relatively cheaper, as I’ve never lived less than 30 minutes drive from the nearest cinema. I’ve not been for years and don’t yet have kids but I can imagine that the costs really add up, even if you don’t buy any snacks.

I live less than a mile away from the cinema and have an unlimited card so I don't see it as a big event or day out when I go anymore. That's not to say that I don't appreciate it and I consider myself lucky that I can afford a card that allows me to do it. I don't really see it as a treat though, and didn't before getting the card, it's just "a nice thing to do with friends once in a while". It's all relative though, isn't it? I don't have kids so only have to pay for myself, paying for a family racks up the cost something chronic.
