Am I the only person who didn’t see the norther lights?

I live in Reading but didnt bother to go outside cause I assumed light pollution would prevent me from seeing anything. Plus I have an elderly cat that tends to bolt out the door.

Sad that I missed it as it is all over social media.

I slept through it and woke to local Facebook pages filled with beautiful photos.

I missed them too.
This bloody Government - they should switch those light things on earlier, before the kids have gone to bed, they can't get anything right.

I'm currently in one of the best places to see it, but I was over the limit to drive to somewhere dark enough to see it, and there was too much light pollution where I am.

We now have cloud cover and the chances of seeing anything are 1%

No. I go to bed at 10pm so they missed me.

Nope. Came out of work just after midnight, had already seen a few posts from friends so was looking out for it but couldn't see anything.

Didn’t see them 😞 - went to bed as had no idea they were appearing. Gutted.

One of my kids woke me up in the middle of the night (nothing to do with the lights - she wanted me to find her cuddly toy which had fallen out of bed!) and I didn't think to look. I feel a bit of a numpty.

I HOPE SO!!! For all the ones who missed it! 💜

It's a bit cloudy here now. But it was last night at this time, and by 11pm it cleared up.

Oh, and to @OldTinHat - look North and sort of North East. Though last night, it eventually spread all over my head/over my village. But look North/North East initially

I’ve a throat infection and took cough medicine and was out like a light. Hopefully see them tonight amazing photos from neighbours.

We saw them in London. You should use your phone camera and then you will see them.

I'm so gutted. It's number one on my bucket list but I had no idea. Weve has a tough week so went to bed early and wake up to EVERYONE but me seeing them. I'm very far south so I think I missed my one chance 🙁

Same! Have no idea how I missed it. I was on social media and reading news sites well before bed and not a peep.

I saw them last night, this was the most accurate looking photo I took, I took a few others which really exaggerated what the eye could see but I tried to switch everything off on my phone to reduce all the enhancing and it looked like this photo, way more impressive on a camera (and more so on an actual camera rather than a phone!). Essentially, don’t feel too much fomo, it wasn’t that impressive in real life!!
In fact even the photo attached looks more vibrant than it appeared in the sky…

I was in bed too. I saw some messages on a group chat but was just sooo tired. I feel really surprised by how sad I feel in the light of day about missing it as I’m not usually one for regrets. I’m hoping to have a look tonight.

I was too tired last night!

I was walking home from a friend's at half 11. She was sending me pics from FB saying could I see the lights. I could not!! Maybe I needed to look through my camera.
They were there as have seen pictures neighbours have taken.
I'm vaguely miffed that I was outside for a good half hour at the right time and didn't see anything!

I was also really tired last night and went to bed. Definitely feeling a little sad today to have missed them. It’s cloudy here now so not expecting much tonight and also tired - no stamina in the evenings, me!

I wanted to but it was cloudy! I looked to see if I could drive somewhere but everywhere within a 2 hour drive radius was also cloudy.

I find this hard to believe. App is saying 0% likelihood. Oh well, a trip to the Arctic it will have to be.
