Don't cry, go outside the weather is glorious and forget all about it.

You're not alone. I'm struggling a bit today too. My dh is away for the day and had to take the car (helping a family member with something, so not a jolly)

I took the kids to a fab playground we'd never been to, and I'd got the baby asleep in the pram and dc1 was having a great time and all was well, miraculous synergy of location, baby nap, well chosen packed lunch... then she fell and grazed herself.

All hell broke loose and I couldn't look after both at once to keep them happy.

Now they've unexpectedly both fallen asleep on the bus! Thank you, hot weather! But I need to wake up dd in 5 mins when it's our stop. Aaaargh

Ugh, mine won't be put down either (3 weeks ebf) the other one is strapped into a chair eating lunch (18 months) to stop her climbing and falling off things. And yup, house a tip, laundry everywhere and I have visitors coming for the night later. Hilarious!

There's always going to be laundry, always cleaning and tidying to do but the sun is shining and you have children to enjoy the day with. Spend sometime outside with them - clean and tidy another day! Chuck a wash on before you go out and hang it up when you come back. Honestly a tidy, clean home is an unhappy one in my opinion! Don't be hard yourself & have a lovely day x

Thanks. Currently held hostage inside as 3 year old screams when he sees me. So that’s a no go.

I read someone say on another thread "everything I do is just to prevent them screaming at me". Yep. Can confirm

Mumoftwo1316 · 11/05/2024 14:36

If it helps op... we've just spent all morning outside and it's baking and I feel almost heat-stroke-y. So relieved to be in our cool dark living room cave. Netflix is on. Outdoors is overrated in this heat!
