Cousin stole my baby's name

AIBU to be over the moon?

My DS2 14 is Henry (not real name)

Cousin had first much longed for baby this morning and they have named him Henry.

Henry is delighted and can't wait for them to be known as Big Henry and Little Henry

That’s lovely.

I don't really see what the issue is. There is no owning a name so it can't be 'stolen '. Your cousin can choose what name she likes. Be flattered she has chosen one you chose too.

You don't see the issue? Did you even read the first post...

I did thanks. Did you????

So if you read the post why are you asking what the issue is or saying the OP should be flattered? If you read it you clearly didn't comprehend it??

Just goes to prove that people don’t even read before an opinion leaves their fingers.

OP that is lovely. I’m surprised I’ve never heard of that being a way to look at it before, when people want the same baby name.

mtg35 · 11/05/2024 20:17

😂😅😆😘

No one owns a name.

If "Henry" is cool with it then what's the issue?

Missed the point

TheFairyCaravan · 11/05/2024 20:22

My cousin named her DS2 the same name as my DS2. I didn’t mind one bit. We’ve got the Big X and Little X. Fortunately DS2 grew to be 6’5 so it’s stuck.

Pastlast · 11/05/2024 20:37

Yes we have the same. My cousin and I both named our sons after our beloved Grampa. It very cute and they share a special bond despite the age difference

pocketaces · 11/05/2024 20:42

Ridiculous click bait post about absolutely nothing unreasonable with a deliberately misleading title

It's a compliment, and the Henry's clearly like it. My cousin called her son my then boyfriends name, we all thought it was a compliment

catin8oots · 12/05/2024 07:00

I forgot to add - for the grump on the thread - they both have a completely different middle name and surname
