Electrosensitivity?

poptartsuperfan · 09/05/2024 22:12

I've just been to an exercise class where the instructor asked everyone in the room to turn off their phones as someone in the room has electrosensitivity. I have no issue with turning off my phone but I was a bit confused at how that individual coped in general life where pretty much everyone has a phone on all the time everywhere you go.

I googled it when I got home and it seems that there is no evidence that such a thing actually exists though there are lots of people with a strange collection of symptoms that they attribute to it.

Are there many people asking everyone around them to turn off their devices as they think it causes symptoms? Is it common?

Haven't heard that one for years - I thought they'd all moved onto 5G and batteries in birds. Although a handy woo ensures that nobody gets to listen to somebody's phone going off during Corpse Pose, I guess.

Sounds like the Instructor wanted everyone to turn their phones off so the class didn't get interrupted and thought that if you all felt you were helping some one with a medical condition by doing so you would do it. Whereas if they had just asked everyone to turn their phones off some people wouldn't have bothered.

Well I miss-read your title as electrosexuality so was expecting something a bit more shocking (ha-ha) but electrosensitivity is a new to me as well!

Yes, I know of someone like this who lives on a farm. They run an event and ask attendees to turn their phones to flight mode on arrival.

I feel like using a nonexistent disease would make me more likely to keep it on... and put me off the whole thing altogether.

poptartsuperfan · 09/05/2024 22:52

I guess it could have been a lie but I've been to this class a lot and we've never been asked before. Nor has there been an issue with phones going off!

Yes but would you have known at the time it was non existent?

Is it only phones she's sensitive to? Does she have electricity on the farm?

Was it Chuck from Better Call Saul?

Surprisedbuthappy · 09/05/2024 23:59

Like Better Call Saul's brother?! Not a real thing, I don't think...

In the last week my washing machine, fridge freezer, AirPods, 2 air fryers and vacuum cleaner have all stopped working.

I’m starting to wonder if I’m magnetic and breaking them! Maybe it’s electro sensitivity?

DP has also had a string of bad luck with his MOT cancelled 3 times from 3 separate garages because the computer has stopped working, someone has driven into the back of his car and he was a victim of fraud.

I wonder if we’ve offended someone who has cursed us?

I suggested we’d been abducted by aliens who put a chip in us breaking things and attracting negativity, apparently that’s absolutely ridiculous 😂.
It is on a serious note very frustrating and costly and I’m worried about what’s going to break down next on me.

Someone always wants to be the centre of attention.
They've definitely watched BCS!

Your classmate needs all of these items, OP! You can even get yoga mats that protect you from electromagnetic frequencies, plus silver-fibre trainers to make double sure all the nasty EMF doesn't disrupt the perfect harmonies of your natural body 😂

This is batshit.

my neighbour claims to have this. We live in an exceptionally well insulated terrace. She claims she can hear my fridge inside her house (it is a normal, integrated fridge).

she can also hear me putting on my slippers in the morning. Reader, I do not own slippers.

I had a colleague who developed this. She was unable to work in buildings with wifi. I don't think she was lying, she was genuinely ill but it seemed more like a stress related illness than being triggered by any kind of physical phenomenon.

The Stellar Dome is totally portable and very popular for traveling and mobile workstations. It can act as for personal EMF protection when you’re out and about. Simply carry it in your pocket or bag. The Stellar Dome recreates energy like a ley line (a radiant, healthy earth radiation grid line) highly negatively charged, abundant, healthy resonance.

The Stellar Dome is the £120 blob sitting on the book in the photo. It's made of Orgonium, a proprietary polyester resin that "resonates with healthy negative ions". It's a very special polyester blob, you see,

FAQ: What size area will the Space Clearing Dome cover?

The Stellar Domeâ„¢ has an EMF harmonising effect to the boundaries of the property.

How does it know where the boundaries of the property are? It must be a very private blob! I wonder what it does when there's a boundary dispute 🤔I'd like to know whether a blob - sorry, Stellar Dome™ - would cleanse just my flat or the whole block. After all, the block is the "property" along with the communal gardens and car park. We could all chip in a quid or so for mass de-ionisation by silicon blob 😎

When you carry it around with you as advertised, does it continue cleansing an area the exact size of your property, or what? So many questions! So much bullshit 😂😂😂😂😂

That's really sad, @OpusGiemuJavlo. People die of cancer while putting their faith in batshit alternative therapies. A woman I worked with did. She was all about homeopathy, macrobiotics and fasting. Then she died 😢

Oh boy I miss these people. Otherwise affectionately known as the tinfoil hat people. All of it is psychosomatic but they really believe it’s real.

Did anyone watch Better Call Saul? Jimmy's brother chuck had this, didn't he?
