Anyone else feel they were just clinging onto their job after maternity leave?

I’m in a professional role. While I haven’t got anything ‘wrong’ I am always forgetting small things. Always rushing as have to do pick up from nursery. Ds often unwell. I’m not as presentable as I was. It’s a huge strain. Ds is 19 months. I genuinely feel I may have to apply elsewhere soon for a fresh start as this has been so huge an impact on me and my role. Am I just shit or do others feel the same?

I felt like this too. IMO you just get used to it.

Oh and to add, my kids are older now so there is less of a juggle. It does get easier as time goes on.

@thinkfast thanks. When did you find it got easier?

Lots of people say nursery are the easiest years as they’re in longer days! Makes me very stressed.

It's a gradual improvement OP. Just involves persevering and anxiety. Plus an understanding employer helps!
