I don’t generally care about the Met Gala, but my jaw dropped when I saw this photo.

Can you imagine walking around looking like this?!

I had to Google Met gala. It really was an emperors new clothes gala.

It always is. The deranged fancy dress of haute couture - that’s why it’s fun to watch.

Favourite looks? I thought Tyla’s sand dress was fun. I haven’t seen them all, but will look up any you think were particularly noteworthy.

Striking yes with all the make, but not stunning. I can think of women much more beautiful without any make up.

I'd never heard of the lassie before this thread. Had to google. I'd say she is very pretty, but not what I would call stunningly beautiful. I imagine she's tall, has a fantastic figure and photographs well.

I read she was en route to becoming a doctor before the modelling career took off. Wonder if she's given up on that dream entirely now.

She isn't my kind of beautiful I'm not keen on that very triangular face shape.

Still stunningly beautiful, imo (and the opinions of the multiple modelling agents that talent spotted her at uni and the world leading designers for whom she’s opened shows - this is not a niche view 🤣).

Meghan Markle and Kaley Cuoco are both extremely pretty, but they’re not supermodel tier, imo. Which Anok is.

We have the exact opposite tastes there, I’d say many supermodels are incredibly striking but actresses are beautiful. There are exceptions for the super models but honestly personally I don’t see it with Anok.

I thought Naomi looked amazing, as per usual. But it wasn’t a very interesting dress/look, which is rather the point of the Met Gala.

Oh, I can think of lots of beautiful actresses. Just not those two (in my opinion, obvs).

Angelina Jolie, Monica Bellucci, Margot Robbie, Zendaya, Halle Berry…also some of the most beautiful women in the world, imo. Far more beautiful than most models.

I agree that some models have a somewhat inaccessible sort of beauty. And I get how that wouldn’t appeal if you only see beauty as the extreme end of more everyday prettiness.

Personally I think Naomi looked Amazing and I am with @Snowontheroof over how Anok looked.

No..Beautiful yes but not unbelievably stunning to me.

iman, Miranda Kerr, adriana Lima, Cara delevingne, Gemma ward, selita ebanks, tyra banks in their prime all had that ‘how can she be so perfect’ effect on me. Anok Yai doesn’t give me that.

Of the 2 I think Naomi got it right so yea I think Naomi was wearing a interesting outfit. and Anok not so much. I preferred Rita Oras outfit to Anoks if you are looking for more "alternative"

But again. Like I said in my first post Anok is not my kind of beautiful. Nor do I think Meghan Markle is beautiful. Both attractive but not my type of beautiful.

She looks otherworldly, like a lot of proper supermodels (not just ordinary models) they have physiques and facial features that transcend typical celebrity attractiveness/beauty which let’s face it is ten a penny.
