I know this is the wrong section but really need some advice reassurance even if its just to tell me to get agrip and this is the busiest section IYSWIM

Have just had coil out, LMP was feb 16-21 and before this was in dec, BUT prior to dec had been every month, regular-ish (within a few days of expected) febs was quite heavy, painful and had clots so thought might have been a mc rather than straight period due to coil, no period since and am now getting self worried that its something more serious, cannot ask mum, she died whe i was ten, am scared, nt being able to have kids would destroy me. have fallen pg before tho if that has a bearing? Mc last july. PLEASE HELP ME x

Have you done a PG test?

tissy · 02/04/2008 20:56

you need to see your doctor

what sort of coild was it? If a hormoney one, your cycle could be re-adjusting, or maybe you are pregnant- have you done a test?

okay, it's probably absolutely nothing to worry about, but you need to see the doctor.

As much as anything so that they can reassure you that everything is normal and you are fine.

Please make an appointment tomorrow and go and see them.

BeMyLilBaby · 02/04/2008 20:58

although i dont know for sure it wasnt a hormoney one x

the copper coild doesnt cause periods to stop.you should really see your gp as the IUD shouldnt affect your cycle.it can make periods slightly heavier and more painful but doesnt affect the timing.

the hormone one is called a mirena.i have a (?)nova-T-some numbers which is a non-hormone one

Buda · 02/04/2008 21:03

What exactly is it that you are scared of?

BeMyLilBaby · 02/04/2008 21:04

Scared that i am heading for an ealry menopause/ will not be able to concieve or that there is something else similarly wrong

OP posts:
Buda · 02/04/2008 21:07

I have just read your profile and you are only 21 yes? Much to early to be worrying about menopause! It is much more likely that the coil has messed up your system for a while OR that stressing is not helping.

You have LOTS of time - try to enjoy the "trying' for a baby without stressing every month. You are still very young so time is definitely on your side!
