It hunts down and kills muntjack deer?

the owner (a family member) casually told me and I was shocked.

those deer aren’t small and I would worry about humans or am I unreasonably worried here?

the dog doesn’t live with children but the owners teen kids (adult sized) stay sometimes.

I have a large hunting breed that is used in packs in other parts of Europe for hunting rabbits, hares etc. He’d have no trouble taking down something larger than a Muntjac if given the opportunity. If you’re a rabbit or squirrel you’re fucked, if you’re a human you might get licked to death. Prey drive doesn’t equal a dangerous dog and is not something you can train out of sighthounds/primitive hunting breeds.
