Carpenter came to change the bathroom door. Hes left the old door in the middle of my garden, quite literally and has left screws and bits of metal in the garden aswell. Ds loves being outside so finding these was a bit of a worry and i'm not sure if i have missed any. I have recently decorated it and he has scratched the doorframe quite a lot. To me this is poor workmanship and he should have thrown screws etc away and put the old door out of the way for safety reasons. Should i complain?

at the very least he should've taken the old door and fixings away.

last time i had a door changed the carpenter leaned it against the front of the house so it was out of the way and the likelyhood of ds hurting himself on it was reduced.

The council housing that I work for sends a van or whatever round to collect all large waste items from work done. He was a little naughty to leave screws etc in the garden - why don't you ring up and ask what's happening?

I'd complain. And, tbh, even leaving it leaning against the house would have been dangerous - I split my head open when my father did that (first time I'd ever pulled myself up on anything, it had to be a door that wasn't attached to the frame...)

a van should collect the door its where they left it thats annoyed me. Im definately going to phone .
up about it all, dont see why i should have to redecorate the door frame again it shouldnt have happened just noticed that hes split it aswell.
