To want to go shopping and have a skive?!

I have a hospital app tomorrow morning and my DH is looking after my DD while I go. The thing is he has a regular playdate with her on Weds afternoons and has DD anyway for a couple of hours. Well if I come back from the hospital 'on time' I will be looking after DD for about 2 hrs until playdate if YSWIM?

Anyway AIBU to want to skip coming home and go off to town for those extra 2 hours, meaning DH will have DD 'all day' (really only about 6 hrs!)

p.s last time i went shopping alone was last September!

absolutely not!!

YABU if you come back!!

cherryredretrochick · 01/04/2008 12:20

If you do not go shopping then you are never allowed to shop again. Us mums must take time whenever we can find it, and if it makes you feel a bit naughty all the better.

Dropdeadfred · 01/04/2008 12:21

why not just tell ask dh if he would have any objection?

Bouncingturtle · 01/04/2008 12:22

YABVVVVU if you don't go!! Make the most of it - treat yourself to a coffee and a nice bun too. It'll give your dh an insight into your typical day.

rantingwageslave · 01/04/2008 12:24

Of course you're NBU, I'd just tell my dh I am going shopping afterwards, it's his dd too.

ThingOne · 01/04/2008 12:25

You would be bonkers not to go. Shop, woman.

minkulus · 01/04/2008 22:34

Thanks girls,
just the encouragement I needed!
I have told DH that I will be out (how long, he whimpered in terror?!) and that I would be back when i got back! How's that for assertiveness.
Quick, run the worm is turning

Now all i have got to hope is my DD doesn't play him up too much......
