To ask if you have a microwave air fryer (ie dual function) - or have considered getting one - and what you think of it?

We use our recently-broken microwave masses and would use an air fryer a fair bit, especially when teen DD home... Are we mad to think of getting one that does both?

Which do u have - or have looked at - and what do you think?

I gather they're not quite as quick as classic air fryers but I do find the idea of one appliance rather than two very appealing for our limited counter space - and also find the classic front-opening microwave aesthetic rather more appealing from a use and cleaning point of view (I think)

Look forward to hearing your thoughts ... huge thanks!

I didn’t know thus was a thing but I’m interested!

I have a combi microwave from the 90s. So 30 years old and still working.

I have a Ninja air-fryer - the reheat function is amazing. Everything tastes fresh, much better than microwaved even reheated chips!

Haven't owned a microwave for years and never will again!

Our old microwave died too a few months ago, so we bought a flash new microwave that air fries and steams! I was excited.

I don't have a traditional air fryer, so can't compare on that. But we've used that function maybe 3 times and I can't bear the oily smell it seems to diffuse into the house. Think we tried chicken nuggets, then chips & oven dim sum. It just emanates heat with a deep-fried smell to it.

The steam function wasn't that different to using a standard microwave steamer (as in, one with a water tray, perforated base & lid) in a standard microwave.

It hasn't exactly changed my life!
