What have I just read?!?! Spectator writer fantasises over Cambridge lecturer

This is a Twitter post from an academic.
She says:

”Advice for scholars: next time you lecture on Kant and revolutions at “Downing” (@DarwinCollege) Cambridge, make sure your hair is neatly tied and that you’re not blonde. Or else your research impact will be on the @spectator libido section.”

I cannot believe that in this day and age anyone would commit this tripe to paper, much less that an editor would think it was appropriate to publish it!

It's very disturbing that he names the academic and goes on to describe his subsequent visit to a prostitute. His attitude towards women is grotesque and abhorrent but he's happy to print this in a newspaper, and the editor is happy to publish it. It's so dark, so sinister and so awful.

That reads more like a Mills and Boon novel.

I am horrified by his attitude. He speaks of an intelligent educated woman as wank fodder for his ‘lunatic libido’.

Obviously he can only be surrounded by women in full hijab as he has no control over himself.

He should be shut away in a monastery where given time he may be able to regain some sense of control, or at least some sense of decorum.
